The shock absorber body, remote cylinder and all parts are made of 6061 T6 aluminum and are covered with a solid anodized coating, 40 microns thick, which provides excellent dissipation of excess heat, resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage.

Design and development:
OME engineers had a difficult task - to develop a high-performance shock absorber for modern SUVs. Nowadays, more and more manufacturers are installing an independent front suspension for their SUVs, which further complicates the task, as this limits the shock absorber's travel and places restrictions on your capabilities within the design of the spring rack.
Traditional shock absorbers change their characteristics depending on the speed of movement of the rod. For such shock absorbers to achieve a high level of controllability and a balance between comfort and the possibility of adjustments is a very nontrivial task, requiring much time and effort. To achieve the correct balance, you need to make a lot of adjustments to the initial settings of the valve mechanism. And in the end you will still get some kind of compromise solution - either slightly harsh, for better handling and patency, or slightly soft, oriented to greater comfort.
The technology of bypass valves allows you to bypass some of these limitations, but puts a new obstacle in front of engineers and developers - traditional products with a lot of bypass valves simply do not fit inside the spring strut that is used in the independent front suspension. Also, they do not fit into the standard housing of a lot of rear shock absorbers.
Other problems encountered by OME engineers are corrosion, dispersal of excess heat, and the possibility of custom customizing the damper, depending on the weight of the car or the characteristics of the road surface. The product also needed to be made easy to install and not requiring modifications to the original suspension.
Ultimately, after four years of design, development and testing, OME engineers have been able to solve all of these challenging tasks and create shock absorbers BP-51.
